In her current role as an editor, Katie ensures that the excellent Bob Vila content reaches readers beyond the website. She frequently asks herself, What would Bob do? when brainstorming ideas and programming that would appeal to the Bob Vila audience on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and in newsletters. She finds the harmony between showcasing old houses and highlighting the latest home trends.
Katie interned at Good Housekeeping magazine in the home department prior to working at BobVila.com. However, her interest in home design stretches back to her childhood when she loved watching shows like Trading Spaces and Extreme Home Makeover and would rip out DIY ideas from magazines. Her first foray in decorating involved a beach-themed bedroom.
