Experience
While still a college student, Eleanor has had the privilege to work at some amazing publications. Throughout her time at her university, she served as a reporter, lifestyle section editor, and soon-to-be managing editor of the award-winning campus newspaper, the Iowa State Daily. At the “Daily,” Eleanor became the go-to resource for the “fun” things on campus like concerts, art shows, and restaurant reviews. She also worked at TREND Magazine, an on-campus fashion magazine, as a copy editor. She tries to keep up with the latest trends and writes regularly for the publication as well. In 2022, Eleanor was an apprentice with EatingWell.com through the Dotdash Meredith Apprenticeship Program. At EatingWell.com, Eleanor regularly researched food trends and assisted in producing engaging, scientifically based articles for the brand’s dedicated audience. Eleanor joined BobVila.com in 2023 as an intern through the American Society of Magazine Editors Summer Internship Program.

Proudest DIY
Eleanor is notorious for attempting to make her college apartment homey on a shoe-string budget. Her proudest DIY was when she revamped a vanity she bought for $1 into two bedside tables. With a table saw, some old yellow paint, and a little elbow grease, her bedside tables have garnered compliments galore as she moves them from apartment to apartment.
