Experience
Emily’s passion for real estate and home improvement began at a young age surrounded by her family’s real estate business. She also developed a love for home design and decor by decorating her first college apartment and completing an apprenticeship with Traditional Home Magazine (now part of Better Homes & Gardens), where she styled photo shoots and interviewed designers across the country.Â
Now as a writer, Emily uses her background and knowledge to help others understand the complexities of real estate and uncover the potential of interior design with clear, digestible content. Emily has also contributed to The Spruce, Angi, Crittenden Research, and BiggerPockets.

After scoring a free oak dining table on Facebook Marketplace, Emily spent a week sanding, staining, and refinishing the table to create a piece she loved. She’s always on the hunt for home goods that need a little TLC.
