Hannah Selinger, Contributing Writer

About

Hannah Selinger is a multi-disciplinary lifestyle writer with an eye for design who is constantly involved in a renovation project—and constantly writing about it.

Experience

With over 15 years of experience creating print and digital lifestyle content, Hannah covers divergent beats including food, wine, travel, home design, and real estate. Her work has appeared in numerous notable print and digital publications. She has been nominated for high-profile awards, including the 2022 M.F.K. Fisher James Beard Award, the 2020 IACP Award in Narrative Beverage Writing, and the 2022 IACP Award in Narrative Beverage Writing. In 2022, one of her essays was anthologized in the Best American Food Writing collection, released by HarperCollins imprint Mariner Books. Next year, Hachette imprint Little, Brown will publish Hannah’s memoir, Cellar Rat: My Life in the Restaurant Underbelly, acquired at auction.

Hannah has been a guest on podcasts such as From the Desk of Alicia Kennedy, has participated in panels hosted by WBUR, and has been covered in The New York Times. When she’s not writing, she’s busy renovating her 90s-era Massachusetts home (current project: gutting the primary bathroom) or picking out wacky wallpaper for yet another room, much to the chagrin of her contractor.
