A deck, patio, or porch just isn’t as inviting without the right stuff—whether you need to add warmth, cook food, or just keep drinks cold for a crowd. Though we test and review plenty of outdoor power tools, we also like to simply enjoy the outdoors, and these are the best products we’ve tested that can help you enjoy your outdoor space even more.
1. Blue Rooster Sun Fire Chiminea
This charming chiminea adds a striking focal point to any outdoor space, along with a cozy bit of warmth and space to cook over an open flame. The Blue Rooster kept us warm from about 5 feet away, and we even cooked some hot dogs in it. It also includes a spark insert and screen to prevent embers from flying out, and a tool to open the screen and stoke the fire without burning yourself. At just 44 by 18 inches, it can fit in almost any backyard, and its aluminum construction makes it rust-resistant.
What our tester says: “I love this compact chiminea! I fired it up when guests came over and everyone gathered around to toast marshmallows over the little grate. What a great addition to my patio.”—Glenda Taylor, Product Reviews tester and writer

2. Arctic Zone Titan Pro 55-Quart Cooler
This well-designed cooler preserved ice longer than comparable Yeti and RTIC models in our head-to-head tests thanks to its rotomolded, seamless design and ice-saver insert. And that was just one of the reasons it was our favorite cooler of 2024. Additional thoughtful features include a removable interior LED light, a removable dry bin, a bottle opener, and integrated bungee cords on the lid to secure extra gear.

3. Latitude Run Caelan Round Concrete Fire Pit Table
Designed for durability as well as style, this concrete fire pit table features a stainless steel fire bowl and hidden storage for a standard-size propane tank. With all that fuel, it provides up to 40,000 British Thermal Units (BTU) of heat, which is more than enough to warm an outdoor space on a chilly day or night. In our tests, not only was the heat ample, but we also liked that this model came preassembled—all we had to do was add the lava rocks and hook up the propane tank. It was also easy to light, thanks to its push-button electronic igniter and an adjustable knob. It’s ambiance made easy.

4. Lifebuoy BCone System
This floating pool entry alarm makes safety simple for both aboveground and inground pools. It connects to your home’s WiFi, so you can easily control the alarm system from an app or the home-unit control console. Alarm noise is triggered on the floating alarm, the home unit, and the app. We appreciated that this alarm was loud enough to immediately attract attention and sensitive enough to detect both large and small movements in the water. For those who want to enjoy their pool with a bit more peace of mind, the BCone System can help.
What our tester says: “I liked the alarm’s overall design, its responsiveness, and how loud it was when engaged. I could hear it both within my house and outside.”—Hannah Selinger, Product Reviews tester and writer

5. Traeger Ironwood XL Wi-Fi Pellet Grill and Smoker
With a cooking surface of 924 square inches, the Traeger Ironwood XL can smoke up to 16 racks of ribs or eight whole chickens. Needless to say, it can cook enough food for a party. Its temperature range of 165 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit allows you to use it as a grill or cook low and slow for the perfect barbecue. In our tests, we expected it to produce delicious wood-fire flavors—which it did quite deliciously-–but we were impressed with the build quality as well. It’s sturdy and stable, and worth making some space on your deck or patio for.

6. Thermacell E55 Rechargeable Mosquito Repeller
Scentless and silent, the Thermacell E55 offers an easy-to-use, convenient alternative to stinky sprays and noisy zappers. This repeller heats small cartridges with mosquito repellent, diffusing it into the air and keeping pests at bay. Its rechargeable battery provides mosquito protection for up to 9 hours, and the cartridges last for 12 hours. We found this little canister incredibly effective at keeping mosquitoes away within a 20-foot radius, and it can definitely help you enjoy your deck or patio a whole lot more.

7. Beatbot AquaSense Pro Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner
With its dual-propeller design and four extra-long brushes, the cordless Beatbot can clean the pool floor, waterline, walls, and surfaces. When used with a solution, it can also clarify the water. It’s suitable for both above-ground and in-ground pools and has enough power to clean pools up to 3,299 square feet. Its 10.4 Ah battery offers up to 9 hours of surface cleaning. We were not only impressed with its cleaning but appreciated that it automatically parks itself on the surface when it’s done cleaning or the battery is low, so we didn’t have to drag it up from the bottom. Plus, its SmartDrain design releases water from the unit, making it much lighter and easier to remove.
