It is colored with iron oxide and other natural pigments to give it the "fresh from the ground" look of real stones.The installation of man-made stone is far simpler than it is with real stone. The lightweight stones can be adhered to the wall with standard mortar. And Owens-Corning produces nineteen types of this product in a variety of colors. The cost is about half that of natural stone.
